Cami’s Courage Scholarship
This scholarship was created in honor of Cami Burton, the daughter of our dear friend and former YWCA board member, Carol Ann Burton.
Cami Burton was an inspiration to our community. She dedicated countless hours in service to others, and tragically lost her life in a car accident while serving as an AmeriCorps volunteer in Malawi. She worked at a local health center there, helping their community address concerns around Malaria and ending preventable child and maternal deaths.
With the support of Carol Ann and Alasdair Burton, a memorial scholarship of $1,000 each will be awarded to two exceptional female high school seniors who have made significant contributions to their community.
